A complete list of these stages is a s following,

Stage 0:
In stage 0, abnormal cells are found in the mucosa which is the innermost layer of the colon wall. These abnormal cells can further be a biggest cause of the cancer in the colon. Stage 0 is also termed as the carcinoma in situ.

Stage I:
In stage I the cancer seems to get app, cancer has formed in the mucosa (innermost layer) of the colon wall and has spread to the sub mucosa (layer of tissue under the mucosa). Cancer may have spread to the muscle layer of the colon wall.

Stage 2:
Stage II: colon cancer is divided into stage II A, stage II B, and stage II C.
Stage II A  Cancer has spread through the muscle layer of the colon wall to the serosa (outermost layer) of the colon wall.
Stage II B: Cancer has spread through the serosa (outermost layer) of the colon wall but has not spread to nearby organs.
Stage II C: Cancer has spread through the serosa (outermost layer) of the colon wall to nearby organs.

Stage 3:
Stage 3 cancer is further subdivided as following,
111A:
Cancer then spread through the mucosa of the colon wall to the sub mucosa. It Can even spread to the muscle layer of the colon wall. Cancer also spreads to at least one but not more than 3 nearby lymph Cancer can spread to at least 4 but not more than 6 nearby lymph node at this stage.
111B:
At this stage Cancer spreads through the muscle layer of the colon wall to the serosa of the colon wall Cancer may spread to at least one but not more than 3 nearby lymph nodes. Cancer has spread to the muscle layer of the colon wall. Cancer then spreads to at least 4 but not more than 6 nearby lymph nodes.
111C:
Cancer then spreads through the serosa of the colon wall but does not spread to nearby organs. Cancer has the chances to spread to at least 4 but not more than 6 nearby lymph nodes

Stage 4:
Stage IV colon cancer is divided into stage IV A and stage IV B.

1V A:
At this critical stage, Cancer may spread through the colon wall and may spread to nearby organs or lymph nodes. Cancer them spreads to one organ that is not near the colon, such as the liver, lung, or ovary, or to a distant lymph node.
1V B:
Cancer has the probability of spreading through the colon wall and may then to nearby organs or lymph nodes.

ANTI-MULLERIAN HORMONE AND FERTILITY

ANTI-MULLERIAN HORMONE AND FERTILITY Initially Anti-Mullerian hormone was only considered in its involvement in the sexual differentiation and Mullerian regression in the males, but now it serves as a bio-marker for the ovarian reserve. It expresses itself in the small antral follicles. It can predict the condition of the patients with assisted reproductive therapy and it is also important in the patients with the polycystic ovary. The following points elaborates the role of AMH in the fertility Anti-Mullerian hormone and its effect on fertility and infertility. ·          Anti – Mullerian hormone is a protein in its composition and is encoded by the help of the AMH gene. ·          It is produced by the granulose cells which are present in the ovarian cells. ·          It has a molecular weight of 140 KDa. ·       ...

6-MERCAPTOPURINE

Healthconcerns “Articles on cancer” is going to add a complete pharmacology and the medicinal chemistry of the Anti-cancer drugs. So here is the first one as “6-MERCAPTOPURINE” 6-Mercaptopurine Chemical structure Chemically 6-Mercaptopurine is analog of adenine and hypoxanthine                                                  Mechanism of action 6-Mercaptupurine is converted to   6- Mercaptopurine nucleosides leading to De novo inhibition of purine nucleotide synthesis. ¨       6-Mercaptopurine competes with hypoxanthine and guanine for the enzyme hypoxanthine/guanine phosphoribosyltransferase  and itself converted to thioinosinic acid                                         ...
